Will the cemetery accept a headstone purchased from JerMar Monuments?
Yes. As long as the headstone meets the cemetery's requirements, they are legally bound to accept the memorial. You have the right to purchase a memorial from the company of your choice.

Why does the cemetery lead me to believe headstones/monuments can only be purchased through them?
Cemeteries turn a large profit from each headstone/monument they sell. They are in a business that focuses on profit, and not on honest service. Unfortunately, they will often use tactics to persuade customers from purchasing from an outside vendor.

Can the cemetery charge me an installation fee if I purchase a headstone/monument from you?
Unless the cemetery intended to charge you an installation fee if you purchased your headstone/monument through them, they cannot penalize you for purchasing from an outside vendor. Will I see a layout proof of the headstone before it is produced?
Yes. Approximately a week before the order is sent to the factory for production, you will receive an email containing a draft of the layout. The layout will detail the design, lettering, shape, size, color and personalization of the memorial.

Can the designs be altered?
Yes. JerMar Monuments specializes in custom designs, as well as traditional designs. We believe the headstone/monument should be a personal reflection of your lost loved one. We make sure our customer's have more choices. If you can imagine it, we can produce it. This includes full color or black and white pictures.

If I purchase a headstone prior to my death, who will take care of adding my death date?
Depending on the type of headstone purchased, we recommend you instruct a family member to do one of the following:

Bronze headstones: If you have purchased a bronze headstone, please supply a family member with a copy of your original sales receipt. This will allow them to contact us and order a death scroll, which will be mounted on the bronze headstone.

Sandblasted Granite headstones: If you have purchased a Sandblasted Granite headstone, please ask a family member to contact a local monument dealer or the cemetery, to add the death date to the headstone.

Who installs the headstone at the cemetery?
In most cases, the cemetery will offer installation service for a fee. A headstone/monument installer will be able to provide you with this service for rural cemeteries or in those cases where this services is not offered.

Can I install the headstone myself? And how do I install it?
We recommend having the headstone installed by an experienced installer.
